Seiko Credor Spring Drive Sonnerie

In 2007 Breitling introduced the latest evolution of its Superocean - the Superocean Heritage diver's watch. The initial Breitling Superocean was released back in 1957. It represented a diver's watch housed in a monohull case and provided with armored glass that guaranteed 200-meter water resistance, a real technical accomplishment at that time. The Breitling Superocean was developed specially for professional and military divers, including special troops. The Breitling watch model soon became highly demanded among those who enjoyed leisure diving. Over time, the Breitling watch company has enriched this iconic watch line with innovative models. Tony Parker has already acted as First Ambassador to the French Make A Wish Foundation. The prominent basketball player enjoys and finds useful his participation in the charitable enterprises taken on by the companies.IWC has proved to maintain its continuous involvement in social responsibility, with the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation being one of the notable examples. The foundation supports underprivileged young people around the world. Tony Parker was deeply impressed by the IWC's involvement into charitable activities.IWC President Benoit de Clerck welcomed Tony Parker as the company's new friend and new face of its timekeeping creations.Tony Parker left France to join the San Antonio Spurs in 2001.

Breitling for Bentley Flying B

Breitling Flying B N 3The new Breitling Flying B N°3 is housed in a slightly smaller-sized case. However, the timepiece has inherited the harmonious refinement and boldness of the distinctively rectangular-shaped Flying B case. The Breitling watch-makers created the Flying B N 3 with an absolutely new look of the face, having completely redesigned the watch's dial. Characterized by fine craftsmanship, the dial is highlighted by a perfectly bevelled sapphire crystal. It is glare-proof on both sides. The dial of the Breitling Flying B sports hour-markers and the Roman numeral XII with elegant mother-of-pearl inlays. Breitling added to its legendary Breitling for Bentley collection with an unconventionally designed rectangular-shaped watch featuring an original design. The exceptional Breitling watch pays tribute to the 'winged B', the renowned British manufacturer's historical emblem. A Bentley car found on the list of most prestigious automobile marques in the world may be compared to a real work of art produced with meticulous attention to detail. The Breitling for Bentley Flying B watch was created as a luxurious and sophisticated timepiece. The curving shape of the watch's sapphire crystal was also worth considerable efforts. At the case-back of the Breitling watch there is the legendary Bentley 'Flying B' symbol which continuously served as the timeless emblem of the prestigious Bentley automobiles.

Ferrari cars that appeared up to 1982 take part in the championship. The organizers of the events divide all the cars into special categories according to their characteristics: Ferrari pre-war single-seatersFerrari cars with drum brakes , dating back to the 1950s -1960sFerrari cars with disc brakes, produced up to 1982.Among the Ferrari cars registered to participate in the Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge, there are five that were produced in the period of 1934 -1939. During the same period in Florence, quite close to Maranello, Giuseppe Panerai developed the first Radiomir watch model.Four timepieces will enlarge the Granturismo Collection, two will enter the Scuderia Collection and two special editions are aimed to commemorate the House of Maranello's 60th anniversary. The major 2007 event in the Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge Europe will be organized at the Mugello Autodrome. The place will simultaneously host an international festival of vintage motor racing. Then it will witness the Silverstone and Le Mans great classic venues. The North American series will also feature a really special event - the Californian Infineon Raceway that will include other Ferrari sporting activities, with the FXX Program, the single-model F430 Challenge, and exhibitions of client F1 single-seaters among others. Golden Bridge Watches from Corum for Neiman Marcus

Later, by night Akahane tried to create an 'everlasting watch', as he called his future invention. The engineer wanted to replace the escapement considered to be a mechanical movement's weakest link with a time-regulating electronic system. The system was meant to considerably improve the accuracy provided by a mechanical timepiece. in his notebooks Akahane drew a mechanical movement with a mainspring, barrel, gear train and other components, wired to an integrated circuit. In fact, today it seems ironic that in the 1970s an engineer from Seiko took efforts to increase the accuracy of a mechanical movement. In 1982 there appeared the first prototype. The process of re-engineering of a mechanical timepiece turned out to be really complicated. The second prototype appeared only 11 years later. As a result, the mechanical-electronic-technology combination provided the Spring Drive with four important advantages over a conventional watch driven by the mainspring. Considerable power reserve: The automatic Spring Drive offers 72-hour power-reserve, while a standard mechanical watch offers 40 hours. Fast-winding: The winding system of the Spring Drive is 30 percent faster than that a mechanical winding system. High accuracy: A standard mechanical timepiece provides accuracy of about +/- 5 minutes per month. The accuracy of the Spring Drive is about +/- 15 seconds per month. Continuous sweep seconds hand: The seconds hand of the Spring Drive moves in a non-stop sweep around the dial.

Rolex Runs in the Family

Someday it will be passed down to my sister, andshe will likely get many years of use out of it, as well.So as you can see, I come by my Rolex fetish honestly. And I love the fact that the time zone adjustsautomatically. Iknow Internet Time makes time zones obsolete, but until the rest of the worldis ready to do away with them, it's nice to have a watch that makes themeasier to deal with.Customizable watch faces. I actually find myself usingdifferent faces in different circumstances. When I'm traveling, the facethat displays two analogue faces side-by-side with the time from two differenttime zones (the Paparazzi typically sets the default time zone automatically, but allows you to configure a secondary time zone) is perfect. If I'mdoing something more active and need to be able to see the time at a quickglance, I'll opt for face with large digital numbers.MSN Direct.  Inother words, I would like to have the option of using any watch face evercreated for any MSN Direct watch. And the ultimate feature would be the abilityto create my own.No vibrating alarm. I know, I'm supposed to purchasethe Tissot High T if I want a vibrating alarm, but even my old Timex Messengerhad a very effective silent mode. Vibrating alarms make more sense onwatches than cell phones (at least in the sense that the vibration is easierto detect), but it's a very rare feature on watches. I would love to beable to put my Paparazzi into silent mode during meetings and movies. The band.

How SPOT Watches Work

I have extremely eclectic tastes in watches, and I might start the day wearing a Rolex or an automatic Seiko, and finish the evening wearing a Casio G-Shock or some sort of SPOT watch. My parentswere in banking, real estate, and building, and my dad eventually got his realestate license  for the sake convenience, and to avoid having to pay agentscommission. A friend of the family needed to buy a couple of office condos fora new business he was starting, so as a favor, he did so through my dad.It has been cleaned twice, and had the crystal replaced once(sapphire crystals generally don't scratch, but they do chip and break if you'rehard enough on them). The watch keeps excellent time, and is just as stylish todayas it was the day she got it. Turnsout the builder was giving away a Rolex to any agent who could sell two unitswithin a certain amount of time. My dad came home ecstatic one day with the newsthat he was getting a second Rolex, though he was swiftly correctedby my mom. The result was a very nice ladies' two-tone Rolex Oyster Datejust.        That was about 19 years ago. The same watch sells for  $4,175 today whichmay seem steep, but consider this: since she received the watch, my mom has hardlyever taken it off.It all depends on what I'm doing. We need things like atomic, solar, and SPOT to keep digital watches interesting, as well.

easyWatch Wants to be the New Swatch

I think I can safely attribute my obsession with automatic watches (as opposedto digital quartz watches, which are an entirely different obsession of mine) tothis particular Rolex. It doesn't get a lot of wrist time anymore primarily becauseit's a little on the small side for a men's watch these days, but I still throwit on occasionally, and after a little bit of winding, it keeps time every bitas well as my much newer Rolex GMT Master II.I like it. For me, it's worth the$3.33 per month. It'snot worth it for everyone, though, so make your own decision. What I don't like about the Paparazzi:Watch face limitations. While I love the idea of customizablewatch faces, I wish I had more options, and I wish they weren't related tothe watch itself. The bracelet could stand to be replaced, and the acrylic crystal is plenty banged up from the all the punishment I threwat it in high school, but mechanically, it's perfectly sound. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual sold for all of $125 in 1965, or at least, that's whatmy grandfather paid for it.   Design. Other than the size of the Oyster Perpetual, I'd say  it's just about as fashionable today as it was in 1965. The look of Rolex watches  doesn't change much over time which means they will not only function for additional  generations, but they will still look like relative modern automatic watches  rather than ancient family heirlooms.  Brand. Whether you like Rolexes or not, there is no denying  their popularity.

Suunto has a very nice interactive demo of the Lumi online

Choice of bands which come in a variety of colors and styles.Ability to wear as a pendant (requires a $25 accessory). Suunto has a very nice interactive demo of the Lumi online. Notice how the watch uses a bitmapped LCD which creates an uncluttered and very usable display. Even complicated features like selecting a continent, country, and city for sunrise and sunset times seem *** with the menu-driven inte***ce. The "second hand" and compass pointer are rendered as small pointers around the edge of the gear-toothed display which is both clever and unobtrusive. The entire display has an electroluminescent backlight for night viewing. From the interactive demo, the Suunto Lumi appears to be a very capable, usable, and attractive ABC watch. There aren't a lot of women's outdoor watches on the market. Geeky multifunction tools like the Casio Pathfinder and the Suunto X9i are large even for men, and tend to be functionally styled. The size of the watch case required to accommodate the type of technology found in modern hiking watches, combined with the fact that marketing departments tend to link technology more with men, have kept these types of adventure watches off the wrists of women. The problem is that plenty of women are obviously into hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, skiing, etc. and have just as much of a need for helpful instruments as men.The answer, therefore, is not to ignore women, but to design something both functional and feminine. The answer is something like the new Suunto Lumi. The Suunto Lumi is the only ladies' ABC (Altimeter/Barometer/Compass) watch that we're aware of. I also really like how it can be worn as a wristwatch, or as a pendant which can be hung from a necklace, belt, or clip (if you purchase it as a wristwatch, there's a $25 accessory that makes it wearable as a pendant, as well).
